Kavorka : The brainchild of Megan Quill, former co-owner of Tricycle Cafe, with dishes and drinks that draw inspiration from her Latvian and Lithuanian roots.
Sonny : Matt Breen (Templo) collaborates with Alister Robertson to create a cheeky little wine bar on Elizabeth street with nibbles to match.
Pilgrim’s Progress : Will Priestly (Pilgrim, Aloft, The Standard, Queens) with a 24 hour cafe on Murray St.

CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice Australia is coming soon to the Elizabeth St Mall.
Best Western Hobart are hosting a Gin Dinner on the 12th of June. Tickets are $95 which includes four courses, matched gin, and a bottle of Roku Gin to take home.
Grinners Dive Bar is celebrating its birthday on the 14th of June with $10 margaritas, free tattoos, free snacks during happy hour, entertainment, and much more.
Nocton Vineyard is celebrating 20 years since their first vines were planted with a two big events. On Saturday the 8th of June is a shared table dinner feast with only 100 tickets available, while the next day brings a Sunday session grazing table lunch from Chef Paul Foreman. Abundance on the Quay is opening a second cafe at 71 Bathurst Street Hobart on the 17th of June.
Sunbear is opening soon on Collins Street serving up coffee and small plates in what was once The Teddy Bear Shop.
One of Tasmania’s biggest events, Dark MOFO Winter Feast, opens to the public from the 14th of June. Expect dozens of food and drink stalls, guest Chefs, unique collaborations, entertainment, and plenty of fire.

Northside Cafe in Glenorchy are proudly painting themselves red to celebrate the festival. Go check out this relatively new cafe for some great homestyle cooking and a mighty fine babyccino.

Huon Valley Mid-Winter Fest returns on the 12th-14th of July with food stalls featuring produce from the region, entertainment, dancing, and lashes of cider.
Zero81 Napoli has opened in Kingston serving authentic Italian cuisine. Chef Matteo Diedhiou was born and raised in Naples where he completed his apprenticeship before moving to London to work at Michelin Star restaurants. He met his wife Juliana Monachetti in Melbourne and together they’ve opened this family friendly restaurant on the beachfront.
Hobart’s first sign language eatery, Cafe Auslan, has opened in Battery Point.
A Tiny Place has closed and Chef Philippe Leban will be operating from his food van ‘A Rolling Place’ instead.
