Aløft has launched Breakfast Club running from 8am til midday every Sunday serving up contemporary breakfast, brunch and cocktails.

Belles Burgers has opened a second restaurant at 4 Cascade Road in South Hobart, previously Honey Brown.

Yambu is hosting a four course dinner celebrating El Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on the 3rd of November with money raised going towards founding a Latin American Cultural Association of Tasmania. Tickets here.

South on Hampden has closed.

Ginuary is returning in 2019 on the 27th of January.

Vita Real Food is taking over the kitchen at Alceme in Victoria Street which will operate as a sister store. They’ll soon be selling their pressed juices at Farmgate Market on Sundays as well.

Craft bottle shop chain Blackhearts and Sparrows is opening in North Hobart next door to Raincheck Lounge.

Raw Grind has closed in Cat and Fiddle with Sandy Bay bubble tea cafe GotCha House opening a second store in it’s place. Upstairs Coal River Farm are building their Cheese and Chocolate Bar.

Amalfi has closed in Centrepoint with Duca Fusion to take its place.

Dier Makr is opening a sister store in the space at the front of the building. Lucinda WIne will serve up snacks and beverages until late.

Picturesque Castle Zayee in Lenah Valley has been leased and will reopen as a family friendly restaurant: Harlequin. The team behind it includes Pilgrims owner Will Priestly and Chef Clinton Gresham.

Liv-Eat in the Mall has closed with Ja & Jon Banh Mi opening in it’s place.

BUN BAR has opened in Harrington Street in the old Little Salama. A couple of doors down is the recently opened Old Peking Express.

The Apple Shed is raising money to help the farmers. Cider for Drought Aid will be held on the 4th of November with a special brew on tap: DroughtAid Cider. An auction will be held as well.

Diwali returns to Franklin Square on the 9th of November. The Indian Festival of Light will feature food and drinks from across the continent as well as music and dancing.

The team behind Syra are very close to opening Malik Restaurant in North Hobart serving modern European cuisine.

Wrest Point Casino is presenting An Evening with Nigella Lawson live on stage on the 6th of February.

Secret Begining cafe has closed for renovations and will reopen with a new name and menu.

The Crows Nest has opened in Elizabeth St serving up coffee from a hole in the wall.

Kin Japanese BBQ has introduced Cocktail Night every Wednesday from 6pm.

The Agrarian Kitchen Eatery has two special events coming up featuring Chef Christine Manfield. On the 22nd and 23rd of November she’ll be presenting cooking classes and on the 24th a dinner to celebrate the updated relaunch of Tasting India. More details here.

Shanghai King Bun has opened in Elizabeth Street just up from the Mall.
