Captain Blighs has another tasting event on the 20th of April with some new beers including their annual fresh hop creation. Van Demons Cafe de Wheels will also be in attendance with music by Tony Mak.
Landscape Restaurant & Grill is hosting an exclusive dinner on the 27th of April. Twenty guests only will be treated to a ‘Game and Burgundy” feast. Chef Oli Mellers is presenting six courses featuring various game while Wine educator David Johnstone and Landscape Sommelier Louis Kesur will showcase eight matched wines from Burgundy. Tickets are $375pp all inclusive.
Domaine A Winery has been sold to Moorilla and to celebrate they’re hosting an open day on the 22nd of April with tastings and MONA’s Heavy Metal Kitchen on site.
Shotgun Coffee has opened in Murray Street near the entrance to Cat and Fiddle. On offer is some great coffee, Louisiana inspired food including po’boys and beignets, and artwork by Peter Gouldthorpe (above) and others.

Guide Dogs Tasmania – Puppy Love and Willie Smith’s Apple Shed present ‘Dining in the Dark’ on the 12th of May with all profits donated to The Guide Dogs. Guests will have the opportunity to spend part of their meal under blindfold, experiencing what it might be like to dine without relying on their sight. Guide Dogs Tasmania’s Ambassador Dog Dexter will also be there for a cuddle with his training coat off. The ticket price of $55 includes a drink on arrival, canapes and buffet style main meal, and desserts. Tickets here.
