Peacock and Jones is now open 7 days a week for dinner and drinks, with lunch Friday to Sunday.

Society is hosting an Agave Appreciation event featuring some of the best Tequila, Mezcal and Raicilla on the 24th of July.

The Fish Bar is close to reopening in North Hobart in renovated premises.

Aløft is opening for Friday lunches with a 2 course menu being offered for $30.

The Republic Bar has another beer garden party this Saturday the 16th from 2:30pm featuring free hot roast pork rolls with house made gravy apple sauce and crackling. Music by Dean Stevenson.

Tasmanian Whisky Week runs 22nd-31st July with heaps of great events throughout the state.

The Porky Duck Kitchen has opened in West Hobart near the Train Park.

The Crescent Hotel has reportedly been sold to the management of The Ocean Child. No word yet on any changes in parmi pricing.

Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival is this weekend 15th-17th July with copious amounts of food and entertainment.


Restaurant Tasman is presenting a whisky dinner with some of Tassie’s best on the 12th of August. Bookings here.

Fuel so Good is opening a second store in Eastlands.

Tasmania Long Table Dinner is being held on the 22nd of August at MONA with dishes featuring some of our finest produce.

There’s a Latte Art Smackdown at The Stagg on the 29th of July with many ofTasmania’s best baristas battling it out.

Hobart Twilight Market are holding a special winter market at The Goods Shed, Macquarie Point, on the 5th of August with food vans outside and stallholders within.
