“Beef Cheek and Wild Boar Lasagna with Truffle Oil and Pepper Berry Marscapone $28”

Occasionally an item on a menu sounds too good to be true, like they’ve put too much spin on it so it is bound to disappoint, and you invariably stay away from such a dish fearing the let down. I was certainly guilty when it came to this meal. Having visited Capital a couple of times before I’d spotted it on the menu but being somewhat of a lasagna addict I feared what could go wrong despite such noble sounding ingredients.
I need not have. It was as rich, decadent and delicious as the description suggested, a dish created with a lot of love which left feelings of excitement in its wake.
I quite like Capital, it surprises me in a lot of ways as it really does punch above what I expected on first glance. Everything is done well from food down to service and they have plenty to offer every budget.
